Biography & Career
Brooke Eden’s early exposure to musical performances by her father, who played drums in a local country band, sparked her love in music. While still in her teens, she performed at nearby music festivals as the opening act for artists like Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn. Eden earned his high school diploma from Wellington in 2007. She went to high school with Cassadee Pope, a fellow pianist, and became friends with her. Eden competed in a local beauty pageant in 2008, winning the title of “Miss South Florida,” and then she went on to try out for the seventh season of the American Idol singing competition television programme.
Despite making it to the Hollywood week, she lost the contest before the live rounds. Eden tried out once more for the show’s tenth season but was unsuccessful. Eden relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, after receiving her degree from the University of Florida, where she also secured a contract with BMI in 2013. Eden independently released a five-song extended play with the same title in March 2014. The track “American Dreamin'” that was released that July attracted attention on satellite radio but did not do well on the charts.
In 2015, Eden acquired a record deal with the independent Red Bow Records (a sister label of Broken Bow Records). Her December 2015 single “Daddy’s Money” peaked at number 50 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. In September 2016, she released Welcome to the Weekend, her second EP, which featured the single “Diamonds” as its lead track. The second single from the album, “Act Like You Don’t,” was made available to American country radio on February 13.
Eden went through the American Idol audition process for both the seventh and tenth seasons, making it to Hollywood week in the first. After receiving positive feedback for her independently released single “American Dreamin,” she agreed to a deal with Red Bow Records. In front of 60,000 spectators at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, she opened for Garth Brooks’ “stadium tour” on June 29, 2019. She released two brand-new songs in 2021, “No Shade” and “Sunroof.”
Marriage
Country music star Brooke Eden and Hilary Hoover, who would become her wife, got married twice to celebrate their relationship. At front of their parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews on August 27 in a little white church in Nashville, the couple made their first legally binding vows.
Hilary Hoover, who works for Garth Brooks, also attended the ceremony. As Eden and Hoover, both 33, walked down the aisle next to their parents, Brooks sang “To Make You Feel My Love” as his wife Trisha Yearwood officiated the wedding. The newlyweds and their pals took a party bus to several local honky-tonks after the ceremony to celebrate. Two months later, on October 27, the couple’s second wedding took place at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen resort in Del Carmen, Mexico, in front of 140 family members and friends.
The family members hadn’t spent a lot of quality time together because of the distance between their homes (Brooke’s family is in Florida and Hilary’s family is in Indiana), the pair tells PEOPLE. “We knew a Nashville ceremony with our families would be the perfect opportunity for our families to bond. We had to get legally married in the US before going to Mexico.” They continue, “Watching our families fall in love was the most incredible thing.”
“Brooke’s niece, who served as our flower girl and ring bearer, made the rest of our family and Hilary’s nieces and nephew fast friends. We really wanted to celebrate with everyone because relatives and friends have been so supportive. On a bridge that over looked a beach in Mexico, Brooke Eden and Hilary Hoover exchanged vows. They penned their own vows and were married by their best friend, Nashville-based photographer Ford Fairchild.
Brooke Eden wore the same same attire to the important occasion as she did to the Love Inc. magazine cover photo, which was published this week. She received the dress as a surprise from the designer, Savin London, weeks before their wedding.
Both brides wore bands, some from Marrow Fine Jewelers and others from Consider the WLDFLWRS, a local ring shop in Nashville. After the wedding, the couple hosted a “picked playlist” of ’90s hits, country music, and nostalgic tunes in an outside tiki palapa. There were performances of the father-daughter dance and the mother-daughter dance, and Colbee, Brooke Eden’s 5-year-old niece, spoke.
The pair said that three months into their romance, they moved in together. Besides owning three homes, they also have a pet. Brooke Eden and Hilary Hoover both claimed that after publicly coming out, they knew they wanted to make it official since they had known from the start that “this was it.” They claimed to be real couples and said,
“We support each other and always try to remember we’re on the same team. Even if we’re upset with each other, we always kiss each other good night. We worked so hard to be together, and we’re happier than we’ve ever been. Remembering all we’ve even through reminds us we will get through everything side by side.”
The couple is pleased to have their union acknowledged by the law and feels as though they have been married for a long time. Currently, they are thinking about taking a honeymoon to Spain and Italy.
