In 1991 when Farhan Akhtar was just 17 years old, worked as a film distributor for director Yash Raj Chopra and spent 3 Years in advertisment production house. After Some time he worked in films like Lame and Himalya Putra in 1997 when he became assistant.

Early Life
Farhan Akhtar learned many things from his great grand father Muztar Khairabadi. He completed his 12th from Maneckji Cooper School, Mumbai. He could not complete his college due to shortage of attendance in 2nd year.
In his childhood he used to play with a gun considering himself as a hero, searching for villan around the house. In an Interview his sister said that he was a liar and used to stole her money many times.
His parents got divorced when he was just touch the adulthood age and his father was married with actress Shabana Azmi in 1984.
