Early Life
Stan and Latasha Holloway welcomed Stanley Grant Holloway into the world on November 19, 1997 in Chesapeake, Virginia. As a member of the Track 757 club, Holloway and his older brother Trey were trained in track and field by their father Stan up until high school. Holloway continued to participate for the Grizzlies in football as a wide receiver and track and field for the Grizzlies at Grassfield High School. He choose to compete in the hurdles for the University of Florida rather than football for the University of Georgia.
Career
2017 – In addition to his expertise in the hurdles, Grant Holloway shown amazing versatility by competing in the long jump and the 4x400m relay. He won the NCAA Indoor Championship in a school-record 7.58 seconds while going unbeaten in the 60-meter high hurdles. Additionally, he placed eleventh in the long jump and ran the second leg for Florida’s second-place 4×400-meter relay team.
In the open air, he won the 110-meter hurdles, came in second in the long jump, and helped Florida finish fourth in the 4×400-meter relay. Throughout the season, he also raced the third leg for their 4×100-meter relay squad. In an effort to earn a spot in the London World Championships, Holloway competed in the US Championships but came in fourth, missing out by.05 seconds.
