    Joe Joyce is a very well known British professional boxer who held the  British, Commonwealth, WBC Silver, and WBO International heavyweight titles since 2020. He also previously held the European heavyweight title from 2020 to August 2021.

    Joyce, who was born in Scotland to an Irish father and a mother with Nigerian ancestry, spent his formative years in London and attended Elliott School in Putney. Having his advantage in olympic-style sporting events cut short by injuries, he began boxing at the age of 22 and joined Earlsfield ABC in Earlsfield, London.

    Joe Joyce is quoted as saying, “I could do without boxing, but I enjoy seeing it happen,” highlighting the fact that he wasn’t a big fan growing up and only started watching some of the greats after getting into boxing seriously. At Middlesex University, Joyce earned a BSc in Fine Arts in 2009 with Upper Second Class Honors.

    At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Joe Joyce competed in the men’s super heavyweight division and won the gold medal. Additionally, in Baku for the 2015 European Games, he won the championship. At the 2012 ABA Championships and 2012 GB Amateur Boxing Championships, Joe Joyce took first place in the super heavyweight division.

    After being knocked out by Russian boss Sergei Kuzmin’s defence in the semifinal of the 2013 European Amateur Boxing Championships, he took home the bronze medal in his division. He had success in the World Series of Boxing in 2015 and 2016, and in April 2016 he earned a gold medal at the European Olympic qualifying competition to qualify for the Olympics.

    After losing to Frenchman Tony Yoka in the gold medal match by a split decision on August 21, 2016, Joyce took home the silver medal in the super heavyweight division at the 2016 Summer Olympics. It was the final medal that Team GB took home from the Olympics.

    At the age of 31, Joe Joyce became competent in July 2017 while recording for Hayemaker Ringstar. On September 6, 2017, an official announcement was made for the first boxing event, which would take place on October 20, 2017, at Indigo, The O2 field in London. Haye confirmed that Joyce would be on the card, making his debut against veteran former WBO Asia Pacific boss Ian Lewison (12-3, 8 KOs). Joyce put on a fantastic performance and earned his victory.

    After the session, promoter David Haye spoke with Metro and said he had offered British heavyweight champion Sam Sexton a lucrative contract to fight Joyce next but hadn’t received a response. Additionally, he challenged David Allen, who declined in favour of a rematch with Lenroy Thomas.

    On the day of his rematch with Tony Bellew in December 2017, Haye hoped to reunite with Joyce in person. Joyce declared on November 2 that he would compete on the undercard of Tony Bellew vs. David Haye II on December 17.

    British boxer Tom Little (10-4, 3 KOs) was listed as his opponent two days after the match. The event was moved to May 5, 2018. According to a 30 January 2018 Hayemaker Ringstar story, Joyce would face 25-year-old Croatian fighter Rudolf Jozic at the York Hall in London on February 16. (4-1, 3 KOs). , During the match between Lawrence Okolie and Isaac Chamberlain on February 3 at the O2 Arena in London, Derek Chisora met with Haye and Joyce.

    Later, Chisora stated that if the money was accurate, he would face Joyce on the Tony Bellew vs. David Haye II card on May 5, 2018. After surviving a right hand strike to the head near the end of the first round, Joyce defeated Jozic. When the results were announced, the watch added the 10-count and displayed the stoppage hour as 3 minutes and 6 seconds. After the duel, Haye stated that Chisora will be presented with another six-figure bargain in which he would obtain something akin to the bag he lost to Agit Kabayel.
