Goree was raised in Halifax, Newfoundland. A single mother raised him. At the age of six, he made his acting debut in Sesame Park, the Canadian equivalent of Sesame Street. In 2003, he served as the host of The Big Black Rap Show on CKDU-FM, the campus radio station for Dalhousie University. He joined the cast of Street Cents’ final season as one of the hosts in 2006. He also started working as a freelance journalist for Canada Now that same year.
Goree attended Prince Andrew High School and graduated there. He played the role of Malik from 2007 to 2009 in the well-liked Global TV series Da Kink in My Hair. Additionally, he was in the Soul TV series on Vision.
