Country music star Brooke Eden and Hilary Hoover, who would become her wife, got married twice to celebrate their relationship. At front of their parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews on August 27 in a little white church in Nashville, the couple made their first legally binding vows.
Hilary Hoover, who works for Garth Brooks, also attended the ceremony. As Eden and Hoover, both 33, walked down the aisle next to their parents, Brooks sang “To Make You Feel My Love” as his wife Trisha Yearwood officiated the wedding. The newlyweds and their pals took a party bus to several local honky-tonks after the ceremony to celebrate. Two months later, on October 27, the couple’s second wedding took place at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen resort in Del Carmen, Mexico, in front of 140 family members and friends.
The family members hadn’t spent a lot of quality time together because of the distance between their homes (Brooke’s family is in Florida and Hilary’s family is in Indiana), the pair tells PEOPLE. “We knew a Nashville ceremony with our families would be the perfect opportunity for our families to bond. We had to get legally married in the US before going to Mexico.” They continue, “Watching our families fall in love was the most incredible thing.”
“Brooke’s niece, who served as our flower girl and ring bearer, made the rest of our family and Hilary’s nieces and nephew fast friends. We really wanted to celebrate with everyone because relatives and friends have been so supportive. On a bridge that over looked a beach in Mexico, Eden and Hilary Hoover exchanged vows. They penned their own vows and were married by their best friend, Nashville-based photographer Ford Fairchild.
Eden wore the same same attire to the important occasion as she did to the Love Inc. magazine cover photo, which was published this week. She received the dress as a surprise from the designer, Savin London, weeks before their wedding.
Both brides wore bands, some from Marrow Fine Jewelers and others from Consider the WLDFLWRS, a local ring shop in Nashville. After the wedding, the couple hosted a “picked playlist” of ’90s hits, country music, and nostalgic tunes in an outside tiki palapa. There were performances of the father-daughter dance and the mother-daughter dance, and Colbee, Eden’s 5-year-old niece, spoke.
The pair said that three months into their romance, they moved in together. Besides owning three homes, they also have a pet.
