Mali Wright discussed joining the professional ranks, becoming a fixture on Josh Warrington’s undercards, and perhaps signing with Eddie Hearn with Planet Sport. The beginning of Mali Wright’s professional career is exciting for him. He made his professional debut against Mauricio Lara on the undercard of Josh Warrington’s rematch.
In the first match of the night at Headingley Stadium in September, Wright defeated his opponent easily, winning in just two rounds with the assistance of trainer Nick Manners. Wright made a comeback to the ring in February and is currently getting ready for the upcoming bout card in Warrington later this month.
The 28-year-old, who was raised in Chapel Town, Leeds, relocated to Jamaica with his family when he was 10 years old and stayed there for five years before returning to England.
Wright later transferred to Leeds Beckett University in order to dodge the “party culture,” although he has since continued his studies at the university in Northampton.
