Personal Life

Johnny Fisher studied history at Exeter University and wrote his dissertation on the aerial bombing of Germany in 1944–1945. He holds a 2:1 in history. His dad is a TikTok star who enjoys a Chinese.

In addition to boxing, he played rugby for a number of years, and he claims that the intensely physical game gave him a solid foundation for his fighting career. Both his grandfather and father were amateur boxers, albeit only the grandfather competed regularly. His siblings have boxed as well.

He started boxing before he turned adolescent, stopped, and then picked it back up when he started sparring with Joe Joyce in his second year of college. He became friendly with him and trained with him in front of Joyce’s fight with Daniel Dubois. Fisher claimed that Joyce is the “closest thing he has seen to a real life human wrecking machine” and that Joyce’s “power has taken my strength along too.”
