Early Life

Robson Conceicao was born in Salvador, the capital of the Brazilian state of Bahia, and started boxing at the age of 13 to defend himself in on-the-road fights. The most notable coach of Robson Conceicao was Luiz Dórea, who also oversaw Acelino Freitas, Adriana Arajo, an Olympian, and Junior dos Santos, an MMA fighter.

Due to a lack of funds for transportation tickets, he had to walk 9 kilometres to his foundation. He got up early in the morning to assist his grandmother with food sales and supported his family by working in the kitchen and selling frozen yoghurt.

Relation – Robson Conceicao, who married fighter Érica Matos in 2013, proposed to her during the Pan Ams. Sophia was born to the couple the following year.

Boxing Career

Only four months in the wake of entering the Brazilian boxing crew, Robson Conceicao battled the qualifiers for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. While he fell in the principal American qualifier to Idel Torriente, Conceição won all battles to get an Olympic spot.

He ultimately fell to Li Yang in his first match. Following a loss in the opening round of the 2009 World Amateur Boxing Championships, Conceiço won two rounds in 2011 before losing nearby by a decision of 18:19 to the eventual winner Vasyl Lomachenko.

At the 2011 Pan American Games, he received a silver medal, securing a spot in the 2012 Olympics despite losing the final to Yasniel Toledo, who would undoubtedly win an Olympic medal. In his opening match at the London 2012 Summer Olympics, Robson Conceicao once again came up short. Conceiço attempted to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics, which would be held in Brazil, but failed. Instead, he applied for a grant from the Brazilian Navy and set up facilities for athletes from the armed forces.

He earned a silver and a bronze medal at the 2013 and 2015 competitions, with the latter achievement guaranteeing him a spot in the Olympics. Before the Olympics, he won the gold medal at the 2015 Pan American Championships in Vargas, Venezuela, after defeating Cuban Lázaro lvarez in the final. Prior to that, he defeated Mexico’s Lindolfo Delgado 3-0 in the quarterfinals, Venezuela’s Luis Angel Cabrera 3-0 in the elimination rounds, and Cuba’s Lázaro lvarez 3-0 in the finals.

He became the first Brazilian fighter to earn an Olympic gold medal when he won four straight fights in Rio de Janeiro, including victories over more than three-time titleholder Lázaro lvarez and European silver medalist Sofiane Oumiha. Conceiço signed a deal with Top Rank for professional progress following the 2016 Summer Olympics. He finished his rookie career with a 405-15 record.

His biggest career stoppage victory, a second-round knockout, gave him the victory. Conceiço was subsequently held back until March 17 and 2017, when he would take against the outclassed Aaron Hollis.

Robson Conceicao controlled the session; Martinez’s only indication of advancement came near the end of the third round, when he briefly astounded him. On September 23, 2022, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, Robson was scheduled to face undisputed WBC, WBO, and The Ring super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson in the main event of an ESPN televised card. He began the contest as a significant long shot, with most bookmakers giving him odds of at least – 1800.
